Passing Credit Refunds

When tenants or owners have credits available you can refund the credit amount using Refund Credit. An entry will be made so that the credit is now payable for that tenant or owner. 

  1. Go to Receivables to find the credit. A credit transaction will have CR preceding the amount.

  2. Click on the outstanding credit to see the details.

  3. Click on the menu for the invoice.

  4. Click CR Refund. Click Refund to confirm your action.


The invoice will now be a payable transaction and marked as a Refund.


To record the payment of the refund, you will:

  1. Go to Payables to find the refund transaction. It will have a Refund label appended to it. 
  2. Select the checkbox next to the transaction.
  3. Click Payment.
  4. Select the appropriate bank account, posting date and payment method for issuing the refund payment.
  5. Confirm the details and then click Post to finish recording the payment.
